We’re currently in the process of moving the project to a new server. Due to a really bad experience with our previous hoster we’ve decided to move to the renowned server-specialist Thomas Krenn.
The move of the mysql server was unluckily not possible without a down-time due to the massive amount of data (about 100GB) as well as the non optimal database structure we inherited from the previous owner. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused you.
The upcoming move of the web-server (which will commence in the next few days) will not require any additional downtime.
In addition, you should, thanks to the new mysql server (which has significantly more performance than the old one), also feel quite a significant performance improvement.

Hi! That is really an enormous increase in performance. Before, it took quite a while for the blogcounter to show up on my website and it sometimes took almost ages to see the stats. Keep up the good work!
The counter is too slow - please do something
I think the counter now has a really good performance. The counter image loaded very quickly in my own tests.
David
sounds like a good news…god performance
Great work guys! Love your product … it is helping me get to the point to where I can pay for extra features.
I second all the great suggestions that Gert already gave.
Keep up the good work!
Is there a current problem with the blogcounter code? My web site is taking forever to load, and it’s citing blogcounter as the source of the delay.
